Job Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and completion of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves coordinating project activities, managing documentation, monitoring progress, and facilitating communication between internal teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
The Project Coordinator assists in preparing project schedules, tracking deliverables, handling variation orders (VO), preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to ensure smooth project operations and successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination- Prepare project schedule upon sales confirmation
- Coordinate with designers, site supervisors, and installers
- Monitor project timeline and highlight delays early
Project Budget Tracking
For every confirmed project, the PC must:
- Record quoted amount
- Record estimated material cost
- Record subcontractor cost
- Record labour cost
- Track actual cost vs estimated cost
- Update project GP (Gross Profit)
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders
- Liaise with wallpaper suppliers and carpentry workshops
- Track material delivery and ensure readiness before installation
- Maintain project files (contracts, drawings, variation orders)
- Track project progress and update management weekly
- Maintain variation order log
- Provide regular project updates
- Coordinate handover and defect rectification
- Ensure smooth communication between client and internal team
- Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Construction, or related field
- Minimum 1–2 years experience in renovation or construction coordination
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Excel and project tracking tools
- Detail-oriented and proactive
