Our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team!
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to make a significant impact in the tender, estimating, and procurement processes of a dynamic construction project. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success and compliance of projects, working closely with project teams and subcontractors.

Other Information:
- Working day: 5 days
- Working Hour: 830am-6pm
- Working Location: Main office at Jurong East, Might need to travel to project site
- Salary Range: $5,000-$7,000
- Develop procurement strategies: Create and implement effective procurement strategies, tender documentation, and contract administration processes to ensure project success.
- Manage estimations: Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare bills of quantities, and oversee measurement processes to provide accurate cost estimations.
- Lead procurement efforts: Source and procure materials, goods, and services from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices to meet project budgets.
- Collaborate with project teams: Work closely with various teams to understand requirements, timelines, and ensure commercial objectives are met.
- Ensure compliance: Maintain adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards throughout all processes.
- Build relationships: Foster strong connections with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality and reliability in project deliverables.
- Drive innovation: Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
- Mentor junior staff: Provide guidance, training, and development support to junior quantity surveyors, helping to build a strong team.
- Support tender process: Assist in preparing and analyzing bidders' commercial proposals, collaborating with consultants and various teams throughout the tender and procurement process.
- Manage post-contract processes: Oversee subcontractor awards, prepare subcontract documents, and facilitate handover to the commercial manager for execution.
- Educational background: A degree in Building Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field to provide a solid foundation for the role.
- Industry experience: At least 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar position within the construction industry.
- Expertise in key areas: Demonstrated experience in handling tendering, cost control, and procurement processes in the construction industry.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with industry-standard software for estimating and procurement (e.g., CostX, Cubicost) is advantageous.
- Adaptability: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, embracing challenges and new opportunities.
