WHAT IS THE JOB
As the Senior Human Resources Executive / Human Resources Executive, you will be a key support to the Director of Human Resources in delivering a full spectrum of Human Resources services with efficiency, professionalism, and warmth. This role plays a pivotal part in managing day-to-day Human Resources operations, supporting talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development coordination, and compliance matters.You will be a trusted partner to leaders and colleagues alike – helping to foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture aligned with the hotel’s brand values and service excellence standards.

YOUR DAY TO DAY
People- Partner with Director of Human Resources to implement Human Resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination and onboarding.
- Conduct Human Resources interviews and participate in talent selection when required.
- Oversee and ensure smooth execution of onboarding, orientation, and probation review processes.
- Maintain and update colleague records in HRIS and personnel files in compliance with data privacy requirements.
- Support colleague lifecycle matters such as confirmation, transfers, promotions, resignations, and exit interviews.
- Administer and promote colleague benefits, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all team members.
- Facilitate internal communication and engagement activities to drive colleague satisfaction.
- Act as a point of contact for Human Resources-related enquiries and provide timely and accurate advice to team members and department heads.
- Partner with Director of Human Resources to implement Human Resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
- Support in all programmes and activities for the purchasing of supplies, equipment, facilities and services necessary to maintain an efficient office.
- Monitor Human Resources-related expenses and ensure proper documentation and cost control.
- Raise purchase requisitions and work with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement of Human Resources services and supplies.
- Work closely with Director of Human Resources in ensuring that the Budget, Forecast and Accruals for Human Resources-related expenses are accounted for.
- Support a people-first, service-oriented culture through active listening, open communication, and thoughtful Human Resources practices.
- Foster teamwork and delivery quality service throughout consistent daily communication and effective coordination with colleagues across all departments.
- Take ownership of guest experience scores across both internal and external channels – including mystery audits, brand standard evaluations, internal surveys, and online guest reviews.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools, training and resources to consistently delivery exceptional service.
- Culture a ‘can-do’ culture that empowers colleagues to go above and beyond, with regular recognition of efforts at daily, weekly and monthly intervals.
- Contribute to shaping a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with IHG’s Winning Ways and uphold the IHG Commitment in all aspects of leadership and service, even behind the scenes.
- Support the implementation of IHG’s Responsible Business initiatives by developing and promoting programmes aligned with corporate social responsibilities goals.
- Ensure full compliance with the Employment Act and other relevant regulations; strict adherence to all hotel and company’s policies and procedures
- Support and drive full compliance in Brand Standards and Human Resources audit requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including documentation preparation and follow-up actions.
- Uphold ethical Human Resources practices and maintain strict confidentiality in handling colleague information.
- Participate in hotel’s Responsible Business programmes and promote sustainability and social responsibility initiates.
- Ensure Heart of House facilities are maintained to brand standard in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, standards, and with emphasis on food hygiene and responsible service of alcohol.
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 2 years (for Executive) / 4 years (for Senior Executive) of relevant Human Resources experience. While prior experience in hospitality or service-oriented industry is of advantage, it is not a pre-requisite.
- Good knowledge of local employment laws and Human Resources best practices.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); experience with Roubler and SimplePay is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to people at all levels.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English; additional language proficiency a plus.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
