Job Description
- To oversee the full spectrum operational functions of monthly Payroll administration; processing end to-end payroll, assisting in the verification, tallying and checking of payroll, statutory-related submissions such as CPF
- Maintain and deliver quality Payroll services, procedures and processes that are compliant, value-adding and measurable
- Sets challenging but realistic goals and objectives of self and staff, demonstrating urgency in achieving these goals at a high standard of performance; is results-oriented and drives for closure on projects and issue resolution
- Work with the HR Leader on proactively identifying gaps in Payroll delivery and propose practical solutions in addressing those gaps
- Review, redesign and introduce improvements to the current Payroll SOPs
- Facilitate quality and accuracy of data on shared systems such as the Whyze platform
- Oversee any required administration and enhancements of the Payroll system
- Demonstrates managerial finesse by proactively addressing performance issues in a fair, consistent and direct manner
- Actively engages in supervising, coaching, development, leading and training of at least 3 Payroll staff in support of the above stated functions
- Ensures there are positive, transparent and productive internal working relationships within HR/Payroll, Finance, Operations teams demonstrated through frequent communication and routine solicitation of feedback
- Contribute to any ad-hoc/HR-related projects as assigned from time to time
- Participate in company's sustainability effort for the environment and being an inclusive employer.
- Bachelor’s degree (or diploma with significant relevant experience) in relevant fields
- Typically 5–10+ years of progressive payroll experience with a minimum of 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience managing payroll for large employee populations is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Singapore payroll legislation, CPF, tax and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and HRIS
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- High level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll data.
