Senior Executive Corporate Communications

James Cook University Singapore is seeking to recruit a proactive and motivated Senior Executive Corporate Communications to support internal communications, media outreach, culture-building initiatives, and student/alumni engagement.

As part of the Corporate Communications Division, you will contribute to how staff, students, and alumni engage with the University through clear, timely, and engaging communications. You will work closely with the Manager and Head of Corporate Communications to deliver high-quality outputs aligned with JCUS’s brand, values, and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support for media and communication activities, including drafting materials, coordinating outreach, and monitoring coverage.
  • Create engaging content for internal platforms such as newsletters, Viva Engage, and announcements.
  • Support planning and execution of communications projects and campaigns, including managing timelines and content coordination.
  • Assist with communications for student and alumni engagement initiatives, including events and targeted outreach.
  • Contribute to clear, consistent, and engaging communications across the University.
  • Support a more connected and informed staff and student community.
  • Strengthen coordination of media and public-facing communications.
  • Build strong communications and project management capabilities within a professional team.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • 2-3 years relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations and other relevant areas in education sector or not‑for‑profit environments is an advantage.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, collaborative, and keen to grow in a dynamic communications environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences (staff, students, alumni, media)
  • Comfortable working with digital communication platforms (e.g. intranet tools, email marketing platforms, social collaboration tools)
  • Ability to follow through on tasks independently while collaborating effectively within a team and
highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Professional maturity to work closely with the Manager and Head of Corporate Communications
