Manager Corporate Communications
James Cook University Singapore is seeking to recruit a Manager Corporate Communications to play a key role in shaping our institutional narrative, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and elevating both internal and external communications.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications, you will be part of a division, supporting JCUS’s reputation, media presence and campus-wide communications strategy.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver clear, consistent messaging across leadership communications, announcements, and issues management
- Support media relations, including press materials, media engagement, and thought leadership opportunities
- Contribute to stakeholder and public affairs engagement, including government, industry, and community partners
- Manage communications projects/campaigns and collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with institutional priorities
- Strengthen JCUS’s institutional narrative and brand positioning
- Enhance media visibility and thought leadership presence
- Support effective stakeholder engagement and public affairs efforts
- Contribute to building a high-performing Corporate Communications function
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, or strategic communications, preferably within the higher education, government, or complex organizations.
- Strong track record in content development across multiple platforms, including speeches, media releases, thought leadership pieces, digital content, and internal communication.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, including working with senior leaders, academic faculty, professional staff, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editorial judgment and attention to detail. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes under tight deadlines.
