Role Overview
Our client is a truly global business and is one of the world’s most recognisable social media and technology companies. EDP provides the client with embedded corporate security support within the APAC region and we are looking to expand our team by appointing a person specialising in the effective management and delivery of operational security activities at the client's APAC regional headquarters in Singapore.
The Security Coordinator will utilize project management and contract management skills to accomplish activities that will continually improve security services and raise awareness of Global Security and security best practice among our client’s employees, vendors and contingent staff in all locations in Singapore.The Security Coordinator can take initiative and work with minimal direction. This role also requires cross-group collaboration, high-level communication skills and the ability to present effectively to all levels of audiences.
The Security Coordinator will work within a team of security professionals and other non security stakeholders who collectively and individually ensure the safety and security of persons, assets and venues associated with our client.
The person will be responsible for the effective delivery of security solutions to ensure that security strategies are effectively implemented and will report to the Regional Security Manager.
This role will be located in the client’s Singapore office, but will involve working alongside colleagues based in Singapore and elsewhere within the region. Some travel outside of Singapore may be required in the role in order to ensure consistency of the delivery of security management systems across the client's APAC activities and sites.
Responsibilities and Activities Include:
- Contribute to the development of Singapore security strategies in conjunction with the wider regional security team
- Manage daily security operations within Singapore working closely with shift managers and team leads
- Ensure delivery of high-quality security and customer services meeting highest possible industry standards
- Planning and execution of event security support for onsite and offsite events
- To provide support and guidance on projects within the region insofar as they apply to the Singapore sites
- To assist in the roll out of any new systems and programs
- To liaise with and support the client’s APAC Security Operations Centre (SOC) as required
- Advise and assist in crisis and resiliency efforts across Singapore sites
- Work with the to assist in the education of new employees
- Manage delivery of complex projects/programs through completion
- Collaborating with key partners to use data and analytics to quantify metrics.
- Support our client’s corporate mission and values.
- Experience of working at Coordinator level within a corporate security environment, across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience of events security management
- Experience of team ethic and the ability to effectively manage workload alongside team members
- Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing.
