Our client is a Japanese manufacturer that handles steel products. Currently, they are looking for an Assistant Sales Manager (Japanese-speaking).

Reporting to: Sales Manager

• Promote and sell steel products to both local clients in Singapore and overseas clients (including India, Pakistan, China, and the Middle East)
• Negotiate purchase prices with key steel suppliers
• Conduct client presentations and manage face-to-face and virtual sales meetings
• Consolidate and analyse monthly pricing trends and prepare sales reports
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while exploring new business opportunities
• Coordinate internally across departments to ensure efficient order fulfilment

• AWS
• Variable Bonus (depends on performance)

【 Requirements & Preferences 】

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of sales experience in the manufacturing industry or a similar industry
• Possess a valid Class 3 Driving License (field visits may be required)
• Proficient in English, Chinese, and Japanese (N2 or above) to liaise with English, Chinese, and Japanese stakeholders
• Strong analytical and reporting skills; ability to prepare and consolidate monthly pricing reports
• Willing to do overseas business meetings (including India, Pakistan, China, and the Middle East)

• Experience handling Steel products
• Able to join within 1 month or on short notice
