Executive / Senior Executive, Purchasing - Toa Payoh

The ideal candidate should have a Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of purchasing and negotiation experience within a shipping company.

• Execute procurement activities in compliance with internal policies and legal requirementswithin the countries that the company operates in.
• Process requisitions and purchase orders in SAP within defined timelines (1–3 days for urgent, 3–5 days for normal).
• Manage suppliers, freight, and last-mile deliveries.
• Ensure timely good receipt processing and accurate SAP documentation.
• Resolve open POs, open VIMs, and held POs within 30 days.
• Monitor and report cost savings (target: 5% lower than lowest quote).
• Submit weekly/monthly reports (CBH, Held PO, Open PO, Open VIM).
• Maintain complete PO documentation in SAP.
• Provision of MIS reports and continual improvement of the process.

• Diploma/Degree Holder in Supply Chain Management discipline or Diploma/Degree in Engineering discipline
• Minimally 1 – 5 years of purchasing & negotiation experience.
• Well versed in MS Office, familiar with SAP (MM Module) is preferred.
• Possess effective planning and analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Able to handle routine tasks and follow procedures to keep documentation consistent.
