THE ROLE:
AMD's Human Resources team is seeking an Employee Relations Manager, an insightful, adaptable, and technically proficient individual. This crucial role involves direct interactions with employees , managers, Country leaders , conducting complex investigations, managing performance-related cases, misconduct cases, providing strategic direction on ER matters to leaders, consulting managers on handling complex employee situations , interpreting the employment laws of the country.This role is responsible for significantly enhancing our HR systems and workflows. Your efforts will align with legal, industry, and best practices, supporting our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace and impacting our corporate culture and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently manage complex employee relations investigations with confidentiality, fairness, and neutrality, including cases related to misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other workplace concerns across Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and Japan.
- Conduct timely, thorough investigations; assess risk and impact; partner with Legal as needed; and see cases through resolution with clear documentation.
- Advise managers and leaders on complex ER matters, including corrective actions and performance improvement plans, balancing employee experience with risk mitigation.
- Serve as a trusted ER advisor and SPOC to APJ leadership, providing guidance on labor laws, compliance requirements, and difficult employee situations.
- Partner closely with HRBPs, Legal, Corporate Investigations, HR Operations, TA, Total Rewards, Government Relations, and business leaders.
- Review, enhance, and deploy ER policies and practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Support labor audits, regulatory compliance activities, and ER metrics reporting.
- Contribute to manager capability building through ER‑related training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
- Support ad‑hoc ER and HR projects as required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong, hands‑on employee relations and investigation experience experience across Southeast Asia; exposure to Australia and Japan is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of employment laws and labor compliance across the region.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills, including executive‑level presentations.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, matrix environment and navigate ambiguity with sound judgment.
- High integrity, discretion, and commitment to ethical decision‑making.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Degree or certification in Employment Law, Industrial Relations, Counselling, or Coaching.
