We are now looking for a dedicated and proactive HR Generalist to join our dynamic team. This role plays a key part in supporting day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with HR policies and employment laws, and driving employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive workplace.
Your Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding- Staffing: Develop and execute scalable hiring plans for both office and outlets staff
- Onboarding: Oversee the end-to-end onboarding experience. Collaborate with department heads to structure training roadmaps that set new hires up for immediate and long-term success.
- Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end multi-outlet payroll (processing shift differentials, statutory deductions, and public holiday pay).
- HRIS Management: Optimize HR Information Systems (HRIS)
- Employee Engagement & Culture: Roll out structured programs / initiatives that foster value-driven corporate culture.
- Recognition & Rewards: Design and manage transparent recognition strategies (daily, weekly, and quarterly) to ensure hard work is visible and appreciated
- Retention Strategies: Monitor turnover metrics and introduce targeted incentive programs, benefits, and engagement initiatives.
- Performance Management: Execute performance review cycles
- Employee Relations: Serve as the escalation point for conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary actions.
- Labor Laws: Ensure strict adherence to local labor regulations (e.g., Working Hours regulations, maximum overtime limits, minimum wage laws).
- Work Passes: Manage visa/work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations for foreign workers (often utilizing the Ministry of Manpower portal in Singapore).
- Work Injury Compensation (WICA): Maintain compulsory WIC insurance policies for all manual store crew and non-manual workers under regulatory salary thresholds.
- Health & Safety: Partner with operations to ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of HR generalist / operation experience, with at least 2 years in a multi-unit F&B, QSR or retail environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS (e.g. BIPO, Infotech), scheduling software.
- In-depth understanding of local employment acts and work pass administration.
- Solution driven mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional crisis management, conflict resolution, and the agility to balance strict corporate policies with the dynamic needs of restaurant operations.
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
