Credit Control Manager (Automotive Lending)

Summary:

• Salary: Up to $8,000, with Variable Bonus

• Develop and implement strong credit control policies and procedures.
• Assess customer creditworthiness and financial status regularly.
• Monitor aging reports and initiate timely follow-ups on overdue accounts.
• Lead the end-to-end collections process to ensure timely payments.
• Design effective collection strategies, including follow-ups, payment plans, and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with the finance team to resolve account discrepancies.
• Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of credit control and collections officers.
• Set KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training.
• Handle disputes and inquiries professionally to ensure prompt resolution.
• Generate regular reports on aging, DSO, and collections performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on trend analysis.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards related to credit control.
• Proactively identify and manage credit-related risks.
• Work closely with sales, finance, and operations to align credit initiatives with business objectives.
• Support cross-departmental projects to improve efficiency.

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven track record in auto finance, factoring, unsecured lending, or property-backed loans.
• At least 5 years’ experience in credit control and collections, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of credit risk assessment, collections strategies, and legal compliance.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with financial/ERP systems is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective team leader with the ability to foster a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
