[ref. u11202802] Research Fellow (Stem Cell Differentiation Biology) - Bukit Batok
The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) provides a vibrant and nurturing environment for staff and students to carry out inter-disciplinary research in key areas such as Computational Materials Science, Characterisation Materials Science, Defence Composite Materials, Functional Composite Materials, Energy, Nanomaterials, Low Dimensional Materials, Biomaterials Materials, Biological Materials, Bioinspired Materials and Sustainable Materials.
The project is on development of cultivated meat to support Singapore’s aspiration of 30 by 30. There are 3 institutions involved in this project; NTU, SIT and IHPC (A*Star). The project aims to use simulations and digitalization to guide the development and production of cells encapsulated scaffolds for the cultivated meat research.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to support the research projects. The research fellows will work closely with the other institutes to integrate their systems into the processing of fibrous muscles.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop muscle bundles for cultivated meat using tissue engineering and mechanotransduction platforms
- To handle bioreactors for dynamic culture of the muscles and fats
- To support research work on biological aspects of alternative protein technology.
- To oversee the progress of various related projects
Job Requirements:
- PhD Degree in tissue engineering, cultivated meat, and related degrees
- Experience in cell culture and differentiation, mechanotransduction, cultivated meat will be viewed favorably
- Experience in the use of bioreactors and equipment design for tissue engineering and cultivated meat projects are also highly favored
- A team player, work well with others
We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
