Job Description of Security Officer
- The primary role of a Security Officer is to protect life and property against pandemic crisis, theft, vandalism, misappropriation, fire, flood or similar disaster on assigned shift in compliance with government, corporate and management directives.
- Conducting routine patrols with his teams, looking out for suspicious persons, fires, mischiefs or safety hazards.
- Ensure the physical safety of the property by checking that all doors, windows, lights, equipment, locks and emergency equipment are locked to prevent any unlawful entry and responds to any distress calls and alarms.
- Ensure all the fire alarm and security systems, such as main fire alarm/ sub alarm panel, public address system, closed-circuit television (CCTV), and panic alarm, lightings are working properly and reports of any breakdown or defect of the systems to the management.
- To assist guests and associates for their requests for security assistance and to follow-up with the necessary
- To assist guests with luggage, if front office associate is not available.
- Conduct investigations of any incident from reports from subordinates and takes any follow up actions and submission of comprehensive reports to management of any findings.
- Conduct interviews and recording of reports
- Recordings people identity who visited the property, with the time they came in and when they left.
- Conducting an investigation of any suspicious activities that take place within the premises.
- Reporting of any unlawful activities such as theft or mischief to law enforcement officers for further action. If he finds any trespassers or criminals during routine patrols, he detains them and calls the Singapore police force.
