Security Officer

Post Description:

The Security Officer performs a wide range of tasks including but not limited to reception, inspections, tours, patrols, access control, relief breaks and asset protection.

Specific Duties:

• Perform building patrols and other security duties that are essential to building protection
• Patrol facilities and buildings to reasonably protect the facility from fire, theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry and to ensure the safety of employees and guests
• Perform security and emergency response duties as per established procedures
• Act as a receptionist, verifying credentials, and maintain logs of visitors entering and leaving the buildings
• Perform courier duties as required
• Perform vehicular and human traffic control as required
• Perform parking control as required
• Perform other related duties as required

Senior Security Officer

Post Description:

The Senior Security Officer performs a wide range of tasks including but not limited to, monitoring of various security management systems, documentation, receiving calls, coordinating response to emergencies and dispatching of security resources.

Specific Duties:

• Preparation of work schedules as required
• Inspection of security personnel
• Inspection of buildings to ensure that adequate security is being provided
• Preparation and maintenance of daily shift log of all events as they pertain to security
• Monitoring and responding to activity reported and/or displayed on the various systems and applications provided in the security control center (i.e. access control, CCTV, fire, etc…)
• Assist and coordinate with security system point of contact from other country based on security alarm monitoring for them to remedy as required
• Connect system specialist / manager to security system point of contact from other country
• Receiving calls for service and dispatching the appropriate individual/organization to respond
• Coordinating response to emergencies, monitoring response where possible via CCTV or other means and other supplemental responders as directed or perceived to be necessary
• Using computer-based applications and other technical equipment
• Taking initiative and exercising excellent judgment under stressful conditions
• Acknowledge and approve permit to work to perform on site that may impact Security system or SCC as Area Owner
• Perform other related duties as required
