Bukit Merah - Senior Business Data Analyst (SQL_Python_DataOperations_DataDictionaries_Testing)

Maltem Asia is seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst for a Wealth Management Client based in Singapore.

Summary:

• Support ISPVM Data Ecosystem Analytics and Services (IDEAS) project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with stakeholders and users to understand, probe and document business requirements for data needs, including UI/UX.
• Craft detailed user journeys and use cases to illustrate how different types of users will interact with our systems and data.
• Translate business requirements and user journeys into functional specifications and detailed data requirements.
• Work closely with Data Engineers to design and implement data solutions that align with the defined user journeys and meet operational needs.
• Ensure user and solution to be developed incorporate Data Management best practices on top of user requirements.
• Conduct Data Analysis to ensure Data Quality and consistency, and to validate that the implemented solutions meet user needs.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, process flows, user journeys, and project plans.
• Assist with data governance and data management initiatives.
• Work closely with data engineers and relevant parties to ensure sprints are planned out properly and completed in timely manner.
• Perform testing.

Skillset Requirements:

• Possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance or related fields.
• At least 8 years of relevant working experience, with minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data management or business analyst role within investment and banking industry.
• Experience in crafting user journeys and use cases, and using them to guide system design and implementation.
• Proficiency in:
• SQL
• Python
• Experience with other data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication skill, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skill and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Good at working with details and is meticulous for operations.
• Good understanding in data modelling and data integration.
• Experienced with SDLC methodology and/or Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
