Technical Superintendent (Dual-fuel Containers)

Faststream Recruitment is partnering with a leading international shipping organisation to identify a Technical Superintendent to support their growing fleet of modern dual fuel container vessels.

This is an exciting opportunity for a former Chief Engineer looking to transition ashore, or an experienced Superintendent seeking exposure to next-generation vessels and decarbonisation initiatives.

• Oversee the technical performance and operational readiness of assigned vessels
• Manage planned maintenance, dry dockings and repairs in line with class and regulatory requirements
• Monitor vessel performance, fuel efficiency and emissions compliance
• Support the management of dual fuel (DF) propulsion systems and related technologies
• Work closely with Masters and onboard teams to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations
• Contribute to continuous improvement, digitalisation and fleet optimisation initiatives

• Chief Engineer (COC Class 1) with sailing experience on container vessels
• Hands-on experience with dual fuel engines (LNG / DF propulsion preferred)
• Prior shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent is advantageous but not essential
• Strong knowledge of class, flag and regulatory requirements
• Proactive, solutions-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment
