Job Summary

You will perform accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks to keep financial records updated, prepare reports, reconcile bank statements, and process transactions using accounting software to ensure accurate daily accounting operations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department to maintain smooth financial operations
  • Accurately type, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records for audit and reporting purposes
  • Prepare bank deposits, post entries to the general ledger, and generate financial statements to support accounting accuracy
  • Reconcile accounts promptly to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records
  • Enter key financial transaction data daily into databases to maintain up-to-date records
  • Assist company personnel with accounting-related inquiries and support to facilitate workflow
  • Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies to maintain data integrity
  • Inform management by compiling reports and summaries on accounting activities for decision-making
  • Follow established accounting standards, procedures, and applicable laws to ensure compliance
  • Continuously update job knowledge to stay current with accounting practices and software
Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Clerk
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures to support accurate financial management
  • Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software to efficiently process transactions
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports to analyze and present data
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail to minimize errors in financial records
  • Aptitude for numbers to perform calculations and data analysis effectively
  • Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks to organize financial documents
  • Data entry and word processing skills to maintain accurate and accessible records
  • Well-organized to manage multiple accounting tasks efficiently
  • High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus
