Position Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing production line operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. This role focuses on continuous improvement through Lean initiatives, effective resource management, and strong leadership.

The Production Manager will support production schedules based on product launches, labor and equipment utilization, and material availability, while also managing budgets and developing personnel to achieve operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve manufacturing problems or assist assemblers in solving operating problems including grievances.
  • Responsible for monitoring production to resolve issues.
  • Update production schedules & to ensure meet delivery deadline. Organize production workflow according to order requirement
  • Evaluates each station of the production process to maintain optimum efficiency.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Creates and coordinates employee training to increase production, enhance safe operations and ensure profitability.
  • Ensures that the flow of resources like raw materials is maintained and that production items are delivered as needed and used properly and efficiently.
  • Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
  • Evaluating equipment for production for recommendation to Management for purchasing.
  • Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team.
  • Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
  • Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
  • Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production staff.
  • Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff.
Job Requirements:-
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of manufacturing support experience in the areas of production, supply chain, master scheduling, planning, and system level assembly and test
  • Electronics OEM supplier experience: low volume, high mix, diverse small parts, fast turnaround times preferred
  • Experience with production of cable assemblies and wire harnesses is preferred.
  • Demonstrable strong analytical ability to provide cost insight and actionable deliverables.
  • Strong statistical data analysis skills
  • Strong background in lean/six sigma methodology and 5S
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership influencing skills
  • Must be a good team player
