Systems Analyst

The analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, Test Managers, Infrastructure teams, Security Architects, Vendors, and Production Support. The ideal candidate has strong experience in AML systems, functional specification development, and technical design aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and define detailed functional specifications based on business and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with Functional Business Analysts to clarify and refine business requirements.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements and functional specifications.
• Design and document end-to-end functional flows and user journeys for AML workflow systems.
• Produce and maintain SDLC documentation including Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, Data Conversion Approach, and Data Conversion Specifications.

• Create and maintain technical design documentation aligned with enterprise architecture, development standards, and security requirements.
• Ensure vendor teams produce comprehensive technical design documents and adhere to architecture standards.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors during build, test, and deployment phases.
• Work with Production Support teams to define and document IT operations procedures.
• Coordinate threat modelling exercises with Security Architects to ensure systems are designed with appropriate security safeguards.

• Support test planning and functional scope validation with the Test Manager.
• Clarify and assess test findings, classifying them as defects or change requests.
• Provide inputs to impact assessments and effort estimations for change requests.
• Ensure functional and technical documentation supports test execution and defect resolution.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, Security teams, Infrastructure teams, and Vendors.
• Contribute proactively to the Anti-Money Laundering Workflow Project and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Support project governance activities and ensure successful delivery of compliance-focused solutions.
• Maintain strong documentation standards and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Banking, Finance, or Management from a reputable university.
• 6 – 10 years of experience in a Systems Analyst or Technical Analyst role.
• Strong experience working in banking, compliance, or financial crime technology environments.
• Experience delivering enterprise systems in large-scale organizations.

• Strong experience in functional requirement analysis and creation of functional specifications.
• Ability to design end-to-end functional flows and user journeys.
• Hands-on experience creating technical design aligned with architecture and security standards.
• Knowledge of AML domain, financial crime workflows, or compliance systems.
• Experience collaborating across Business Analysts, Developers, Infrastructure, Security, and Vendors.
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes, integration patterns, and application architecture.
• Experience supporting testing activities including defect clarification and scope assessment.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.

• Experience with AML platforms such as Actimize, Fircosoft, SAS AML, or Oracle FCCM.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, APIs, and integration frameworks.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Exposure to threat modelling frameworks such as STRIDE or MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience with process modelling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN tools.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments.
• Ability to perform basic SQL queries or data analysis for requirement validation.
• Vendor coordination experience with offshore and onsite teams.
