Cloud Operations Specialist (FinOps, Billing & Compliance)

The Mission:

The Cloud Operations Specialist manages the end-to-end financial operations of our cloud business, specifically focusing on cloud consumption billing, revenue reconciliation, and financial compliance. This role serves as a critical bridge between technical operations, sales, and finance to ensure billing accuracy, regulatory compliance, and process efficiency within a high-growth cloud environment.

What You'll Do:

• Cloud Billing & Revenue Management: Manage the cloud billing lifecycle; collaborate with Account Managers to validate revenue data and trigger accurate invoicing for cloud services and resource usage.
• FinOps & Payment Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between customers and partner finance departments to manage operational cases related to cloud credit collections, billing cycles, and payment settlements.
• Data Reconciliation: Perform rigorous reconciliation of client accounts, bank statements, and usage transactions against internal cloud management systems to ensure 100% data integrity.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex billing exceptions, usage discrepancies, and payment disputes promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• System & Record Governance: Maintain and audit internal financial records, service delivery documentation, and customer contract data within our internal ERP and cloud platforms.
• Proactive Reviews: Execute Proactive Reviews as a primary self-check mechanism to identify operational pain points within the Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Service Delivery workflows and using these reviews to identify root causes of business issues, evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls (CT), and provide suggestions to optimize process efficiency.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all cloud operations adhere to regional regulations, lead data extraction for reporting, and support periodic compliance audits.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 3 - 5 years of experience in Cloud Operations, IT Consulting, or Data Center environments. Background in FinOps or Cloud Business Operations is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud consumption models (pay-as-you-go, reserved instances) and the operational flow of cloud service delivery is a bonus
• Exceptional attention to detail with a "zero-error" mindset for managing high-volume data processing and complex reconciliations.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel (Data Modeling/V-lookups/Pivot Tables) and experience with ERP systems or accounting software.
• Proven ability to translate complex operational or financial data into clear insights for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• A proactive problem-solver capable of managing exceptions and navigating grey areas independently in a fast-paced environment.
