Senior Procurement Executive
Primary Objective
The Senior Procurement Executive plays a key role in executing end-to-end procurement activities in alignment with strategic and operational objectives. The primary focus of this role is to support Indirect Procurement for the Catering division of dnata, while also collaborating with the Airport Operations Indirect Procurement team where necessary.In addition, the role will occasionally support COGS procurement activities within the Catering division. The Senior Procurement Executive supports sourcing initiatives, drives supplier performance, and delivers value through cost optimization, supplier collaboration, and compliance with procurement best practices—contributing to the resilience and efficiency of the overall supply chain.
Specific Accountability
Execute end-to-end procurement processes: encompassing data gathering, develop RFx documentation, conduct RFx, evaluation facilitation, contracting, implement and measuring across all organisational functions.
Collaborate: with internal stakeholders to ascertain their procurement needs and identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Strategic Supplier Partnerships: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring a robust and collaborative network that adheres to our Procurement strategy and supplier standards.
Drive Cost Negotiations: product cost, cost savings per contract, cost optimization and able to deliver a good result of cost savings.
Driving commercial contract negotiations: Lead negotiations with suppliers, leveraging strong procurement and contract manufacturer negotiation skills to secure favourable terms for TCO.
Risk Mitigation: Implement effective risk mitigation strategies to ensure a resilient and dependable supply chain.
Performance Optimization: Oversee supplier performance assessments, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier management strategies with overall business objectives. Promote a culture of transparency and accountability in procurement practices, serving as a role model.
Reporting: Explore systems, understand and prepare analysis reports and commentary wider team & stakeholders to make better business decisions.
General: Have complete understanding of and adhere to dnata catering policies and procedures. Carry out additional duties as may be requested by Senior Management.
Qualifications & Requirements- Experience in indirect procurement functions.
- Proficient in RFx process coordination and tender management.
- Demonstrated understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and suppliers.
- Confident approach and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to adapt, develop and maintain internal & external relationships
- Ability to build rapport with team members across the company hierarchy
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office suite with Outlook, Word and MS Teams
- Advanced Excel – build base data tables and use it to create pivot tables, graphs; utilize formulas
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the airline or food & beverage industry
- Familiarity with ERP or e-Sourcing systems (SAP, Scanmarket, Suplari).
- Basic Power BI skills to support procurement analytics and dashboard updates.
- Exposure to sustainability in procurement or ESG criteria.
- Ability to support strategic sourcing or cost-saving initiatives.
