Business Development Director – Radiant Impex Pte Ltd

Focus: Sourcing (China) & Distribution (India, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, North Africa)
Role Purpose
The Director of Operations will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the regional supply chain. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on optimizing the movement of building hardware and power tools from Chinese manufacturing bases to South Asian markets.You will manage the technicalities of international trade while driving operational excellence in marketing and local distribution.
Key Responsibilities- China Sourcing Strategy: Manage relationships with Chinese OEM/ODM partners; oversee factory audits, quality assurance, and lead-time negotiations.
- South Asian Market Logistics: Design and execute the "Last Mile" strategy for power tools entering India and Bangladesh, managing local compliance and freight coordination.
- Operational Marketing Support: Translate market data from India/Bangladesh into sourcing orders, ensuring inventory reflects regional demand for specific hardware categories.
- Cost & Margin Control: Monitor "Total Landed Cost" per unit, including tariffs and freight, to protect corporate profitability.
- Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team in Singapore, providing oversight for procurement, logistics, and regional sales support.
- Industry Expertise: Proven track record in the Building Hardware or Power Tools industry (e.g., handling power tools, drilling equipment, or abrasive materials).
- Geographic Knowledge: Deep understanding of the business cultures and trade regulations in China (sourcing), India, and Bangladesh (distribution).
- Commercial Acumen: Strong background in international trade, including HS code classification, FTA eligibility, and margin optimization.
- Leadership: Experience leading senior management teams and reporting directly to a Board of Directors.
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce 15+ years of experience in senior management within the trading or industrial supply sector.
