The Head of Finance & Accounting is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial reporting, accounting operations, and tax compliance across multiple Maisons and markets. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, while strengthening financial governance, controls, and operational excellence.

As a key partner to business and regional stakeholders, the role drives alignment between finance operations and business objectives, while leading continuous improvement in processes, systems, and organizational effectiveness.

Role & Responsibilities

Financial Governance & Reporting
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, including statutory reporting under local standards and consolidated reporting under IFRS / GAAP
  • Ensure compliance with global accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting obligations across all entities
  • Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including General Ledger, month-end close, and reporting processes
  • Review key accounting judgments, estimates, and complex transactions
  • Champion accounting policies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in reporting
  • Provide oversight on tax reporting, provisions, and compliance matters in partnership with the Tax Manager
Compliance & Internal Control
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles, tax obligations, and internal control frameworks
  • Establish and maintain a strong financial control environment across accounting and tax processes
  • Ensure financial audits are executed effectively, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and manage risks related to financial operations and regulatory exposure
  • Oversee timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of control improvements
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with Business Planning & Control and commercial teams to support performance management and decision-making
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to senior management on business performance and strategic initiatives
  • Act as the key escalation point for complex accounting and tax matters
  • Engage with regional / group finance, auditors, and external advisors
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
  • Oversee finance systems (ERP, reporting tools) to ensure data integrity and scalability
  • Lead finance transformation initiatives, including system enhancements and process standardization
  • Promote automation and digitalization across finance functions
Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop teams, drive performance, capability building, and a culture of collaboration
  • Set clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans
  • Ensure appropriate team structure and resourcing to support business growth
Other Responsibilities
  • Support strategic initiatives, including business expansion, restructuring, and new market entries
  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc financial and operational projects as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent required
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or finance, with leadership experience in a multi-entity or regional environment
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS / GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements, with working knowledge of tax regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead finance functions through growth, or organizational change
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading managers and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and support decision-making
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex financial matters and balance strategic and operational priorities
  • Experience in driving process improvements, finance transformation initiatives, and system implementations (e.g., ERP, reporting tools)
  • High level of attention to detail and accountability, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance in financial reporting
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-market environment
