PURPOSE OF POSITION
- Supervise, control and co-ordinate the accounting activities, maintaining accurate and appropriate accounting records for both statutory and Geberit HQ's requirements for Geberit Companies in China, Australia and Singapore.
- Ensure documentation of all the Accounting, Controlling, IT and general legal work processes.
- Business partnership by providing broad support to the Management Teams, with emphasis on financial analysis and statutory compliance consultancy.
- Develop the Finance, Controlling & IT team up to the Group required standards.
- Maintain and develop relationship with external stakeholders ( bankers, auditor etc)
- Other adhoc roles as assigned by Superior
- Supervise and maintain an efficient accounting division, providing direction to all accounting staff to enable the preparation of accurate accounting information.
- Ensure that the accounting systems incorporate proper accounting principles, standards and classifications to ensure prompt, accurate, complete and consistent recording and reporting of data, as required for information, control and decision-making purpose.
- Co-ordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports, ensuring compliance with the local PRC statutory requirements as well as Geberit's reporting requirements whilst adhering to tight time schedules.
- Co-ordinate the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly review and forecast and the annual strategic plan, working closely with the Managing Directors and various Department Heads.
- Continually improve the quality and timeliness of information to enable management to be well informed of their current business performance, working with them to actively participate in defining their requirements.
- Ensure adequate internal controls are incorporated in the development of computerised accounting system
- Overall responsibility for APAC taxes and treasury
- Training and developing the APAC finance team
- Responsible for APAC IT organisation
- Responsible for APAC legal affairs
- English language skills
- Good understanding and working knowledge of PRC tax, commercial and legal framework and practices
- Good understanding and working knowledge of ERP system, preferably SAP
- Ability to implement internal control and systems
- Team leader experience and skills
