Director Regional Sales Asia Pacific and Middle East

The role

The target of this position is to manage and coordinate the overall sales, marketing as well as product and project related activities within Asia Pacific and Middle East. It includes responsibility in those areas for China, Japan, South Korea, AUS/NZ, ASEAN, India as well as Middle East.

1. Develop and implement the sales and marketing strategy for the Asia Pacific and Middle East region.
2. Identify, acquire, and manage new customers across all relevant segments (e.g., off-highway, trucks, RV, ambulance, personal transport).
3. Develop and execute initiatives for business development and market expansion (Sales Distributors, General Agents, Joint-Ventures, etc.).
4. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and business partners
5. Ensure domestic pricing strategies are developed and implemented in alignment with both global and local policies and market conditions
6. Lead and develop the regional sales team, including recruitment, onboarding, and coaching
7. Take responsibility for regional sales planning, budget control, and reporting to management
8. Analyze market trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements to identify business opportunities
9. Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with all relevant quality and internal compliance standards
10. Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and associations
11. Foster knowledge transfer and collaboration within international and cross-cultural teams
12. Take ownership of regional project and product management for local, regional, and global initiatives, ensuring alignment with established product and development roadmaps

• Proven track record as sales leader in automotive industry.
• Deep experience managing regional sales markets and customer portfolios.
• Experience dealing with China manufacturing plant.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen.
• Success managing multinational or regional strategic accounts.
• Willingness to travel regionally.
