As the champion for labour movement (LM), NTUC-ARU is clear that our success is highly dependent on us having the right talent to advance our LM cause. We are constantly looking at effective ways to better manage our workforce given the economic volatility and the ever-changing workforce landscape.
As Assistant Director, Communications Strategy, you will lead a team to strengthen the LM narrative, and develop the communications and engagement strategies on NTUC branded content. This includes an integrated campaign strategy for NTUC on effective platforms to amplify desired outcomes of the Workers Compact, which requires a good understanding of ground ops.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Bringing together mainstream media and social media engagements to deliver optimum outcomes for the organisation
- Developing the structure of an integrated communications strategy, including plans to market the LM narrative
- Developing an internal comms narrative and strategy to build internal advocates
- Providing guidance and building up a team to continuously shape the LM narrative based on evolving concerns and strategic needs.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in communications strategy development, with at least 2 years of leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of public communications work, including professional requirements and operational mechanics, with background in policy work.
- Good communication skills and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage internal stakeholders across all levels.
- Possess the drive to innovate and do things differently and better.
- Passion to serve in a cause-driven organization.
