UCT is looking for a talented CNC Machining Engineer to join us in Singapore!

Job Summary:

Responsible for all technological processes included CNC machining and turning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and create mechanical drawings with 2D / 3D CAD software (Solidworks).
• Master CNC Programming and coding (macro program understanding).
• Write the Standard Operation Procedure / Work Instructions (SOP / WI).
• Train the operators and ensure a sustainable support for production and maintenance.
• Generate DFMEA for new design
• Review periodically Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) from suppliers
• Review supplier capabilities in term of machining and participate in supplier selection
• Develop supplier capability to ensure meeting specifications
• Working with suppliers on quality excursion and improvement
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement
• Perform other related duties as required
• Maintaining and improving various technology from development stage to mass production, providing solution to the production department.
• Designing jig and fixtures for milling, turning machines, surface treatment and final assembly processes.
• Engineer have to verify the quality of the items by use of a CMM machine, Surface roughness machine, magnifying microscope and other measuring equipment as needed.
• Sustain overall technology quality and initiate improvement activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Speaks fluent English, good communication abilities, experience with communicating projects in global company.
• Managerial proven experience in machining processes, Tooling, and fixture design, finishing processes as mechanical polishing.
• Implementation and monitoring of work routine.
• Able to interpret mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge on GD&T.
• Experience with cad/cam systems.
• Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers
• Experience in handling CNC machines (3axis,5axis Milling & 4axis Turnmill)
• Proficient with G & M -code (Fanuc & Okuma OSP)
• Proven experience with Cam software, Solid CAM advantage.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Degree in any engineering discipline Preferably Mechanical, Mechatronic.
• Knowledge of manufacturing process, fabrication methods and tool & fixture design.
• Machining of Stainless Steel & Aluminium.
• Familiarity with manufacturing process equipment and quality assurance techniques.
• Experience in precision machining of Milling, Lathe and Turn-mill.
• Well-versed in relevant software is an advantage (Solidworks & Solidcam).
• Working in ISO 9001:2015 environment organizations

Experience Requirement:

• Minimum 8 years of experience as CNC Engineer
