Design Engineer (Solar PV)

The individual will be part of the City-OG Gas Energy Services Pte Ltd (a joint venture between City-Energy and Osaka Gas) that provides bespoke consultancy services for its clients to enjoy a wealth of energy solutions to achieve their sustainability goals.

What You Will Be Doing:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Solar PV system design and engineering in accordance with industry best practices and applicable regulatory codes.
• Conduct site visits to assess roof layouts, structural suitability, and electrical connection feasibility based on project design requirements.
• Develop 3D models and shading analyses using AutoCAD 3D, PVSyst, or equivalent solar design software.
• Execute component sizing and selection, covering all essential PV system elements such as modules, inverters, mounting structures, cabling, and protection devices.
• Prepare PVSyst simulation reports, including detailed energy yield assessments and system performance analyses.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOM) and develop budgetary cost estimates for proposed PV systems.
• Support and coordinate with customers and contractors, ensuring effective communication and alignment with project specifications.
• Assist in procurement processes, including raising Purchase Requisitions, preparing approval documents, and supplying required technical information to the procurement department.
• Monitor the performance of solar assets and support troubleshooting, maintenance, and rectification activities as needed.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

What We're Looking For:

• Min. Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Clean Energy, Renewable Energy, or an equivalent field.
• Knowledge of solar PV system design principles and practices.
• Experience using AutoCAD 3D or similar 3D modeling tools.
• Experience with PVSyst for solar performance simulation and analysis.
• Knowledge of project management is an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team player.

The successful candidate will be based at 26 Senoko Avenue. Company shuttle bus pickup/dropoff point at Sembawang MRT station.
