What you'll be doing?- Lead Engineering: Head the engineering department, set technical direction, and mentor a team of engineers.
- Design and Develop: Create and develop tanker systems (fuel, LPG, LNG, water, waste) using CAD and FEA tools.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations and international standards, including ADR.
- Engineering Calculations: Complete and validate engineering calculations for safety-critical systems and structural integrity.
- Certification and Documentation: Oversee certification processes, technical documentation, and liaison with regulatory authorities.
- Innovation and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement, innovation, efficiency, and safety in tanker design and manufacturing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement, operations, and commercial teams to align engineering solutions with business objectives.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (PEB-approved qualification).
- Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 4 years in road tanker design.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Singapore legislation for hazardous goods transport and tanker systems, plus familiarity with ADR requirements for fuel carriage.
- Engineering Tools: Proficiency in CAD/FEA tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and piping/pressure vessel design.
- Leadership and Project Management: Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver complex engineering projects.
- Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
