Assistant Vice President, Operations & Technology (Index Operations) - Geylang

Job Summary

You will also participate in design, testing, and implementation of index solutions across our technology platforms to address new client requests, while enhancing operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the onboarding of new indices into SGX’s operational systems and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust controls, comprehensive documentation, and seamless integration.

• Oversee the daily operations of indices across asset classes including equities, fixed income, FX, rates, futures, and options.
• Execute corporate actions and index adjustments with precision and timeliness.

• Perform periodic and ad-hoc index rebalancing, including validation of constituent data, weightings, and methodology adherence.
• Prepare and disseminate index change notices to vendors and clients.

• Identify opportunities for automation and procedural enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
• Proactively assess and mitigate operational risks through control enhancements and workflow redesign.

• Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of index solutions across SGX’s technology platforms.
• Support new client requests and contribute to the evolution of index capabilities.

• 4+ years of work experience in middle or back-office functions within asset management, banking, or financial services
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience handling large datasets and quantitative algorithms
• Proven track record in process improvement, automation, and operational innovation
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, LSEG Workspace, and other market data platforms
• Proficient in index methodologies, corporate actions, and financial instruments across asset classes
• Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline
• Excellent problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and prudence in execution
• Programming skills in Python or VBA are a strong advantage
