This is a high-impact leadership role for our client, a global investment bank in which you will be responsible for steering the firm’s interpretation, advocacy, and implementation of global and domestic capital frameworks. You will serve as a primary subject matter expert on Basel III/IV, the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB), and evolving jurisdictional requirements.This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Risk, and Government Affairs, ensuring capital strategy remains both compliant and optimized for business growth. Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret new and existing regulatory capital rules to determine their impact on the firm’s Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) and leverage ratios Draft white papers and comment letters to central banks and regulators.
You will represent the firm’s interests in industry trade groups Collaborate with business lines to identify capital-efficient structures and provide guidance on the capital impact of complex transactions Work closely with the Regulatory Reporting and IT teams to ensure policy interpretations are accurately coded into capital calculation engines Requirements: 10-15+ years in Regulatory Policy, Capital Management, or a Technical Accounting role with a focus on Financial Control Ability to translate complex legal text into quantitative impact assessments Exceptional ability to "translate" technical regulatory jargon for non-technical stakeholders Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting preferred
