Business Development Manager – Contract Sales

As a Business Development Manager – Contract Sales, you would be expected to:
- Lead Generation and Prospecting: Generate leads for contract sales within the local market through targeted outreach efforts, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events. Identify decision-makers within groups, chains, distributors, modern/lower trade channels and other companies requiring Oishi products.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Understand their specific needs, preferences, and pain points to tailor solutions that address their unique requirements.
- Solution Proposal and Presentation: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches clients, highlighting the value proposition of your products or services. Customize proposals to align with the needs and objectives of each client, focusing on how your offerings can help them improve operations or enhance customer experiences.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to secure new business deals. Collaborate with internal teams, such as legal and finance, to ensure contracts are drafted and executed in accordance with company policies and objectives.
- Product and Service Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the products or services offered by your company, including their features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to effectively position your offerings locally.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives. Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to inform strategic decision-making and product development initiatives.
- Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the local F&B industry is essential. Familiarity with industry trends, market dynamics, and key players can help you effectively identify business opportunities and tailor solutions to meet client needs.
- Sales and Business Development Skills: Strong sales acumen and business development skills are crucial for success in this role. You should be adept at generating leads, building client relationships, and closing.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and building rapport with clients. You should be able to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Networking Abilities: The ability to network and build relationships with key stakeholders is important. Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking functions can help you expand your professional network and generate leads.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, is important. You should be able to communicate effectively, share insights, and coordinate efforts to achieve common goals.
- 1. Negotiation Skills: Effective negotiation skills are essential for securing new business deals and closing contracts with HORECA clients. You should be able to advocate for your company's interests while also building mutually beneficial relationships with clients.
