Research Engineer II (Chemical Engineering/Material Science/Chemistry/Environmental Engineering) - Choa Chu Kang

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer II in Prof Yin’s group.

The Research Engineer II will take on a significant role in working on a research project on machine learning modeling and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development of new machine learning modelling approaches
• Development of new advanced control and optimization algorithms
• Optimization of indoor farms
• Provide regular project updates to principal investigator and funding agency
• Report writing/presentation

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field relevant to the project
• Experience in dynamic modeling, machine learning, and optimization/control systems
• Basic knowledge of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (preferred)
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individual and professional groups
