Brief Summary:
Join a dynamic team as a Shipping Coordinator, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless export operations and compliance with shipping regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate Sea Export shipping documentation, including House Bill of Lading, Master Bill of Lading, shipping instructions, cargo manifests, and pre-alerts.
- Handle customs and declaration work, including export permit declarations and submissions to relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and workplace safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers, shipping lines, transport teams, and overseas offices to facilitate smooth pickup and delivery of shipments.
- Book vessel space and monitor shipment schedules, interfacing with various parties based on shipment requirements.
- Follow up on operational matters, ensuring timely communication regarding cargo cut-off timings, discrepancies, and damages.
- Review and verify documentation for accuracy before vessel departure, handling any amendments and updating shipment statuses.
- Prepare payment vouchers, verify vendor costs, and manage shipment files to ensure timely billing and collections.
- Continuously monitor and manage costs, timelines, and service quality to ensure task completion with precision.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or equivalent education.
- Knowledge of Freight Forwarding, Export Procedures, or Permit Declarations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Good analytical skills and a proactive team player.
