Bedok - Sales Manager/Executive (Valuable Cargo Airfreight – Commodities Specialist)

Job Summary:

  • Basic Salary: $5000 - $8000
  • Location: Tai Seng
  • Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm
  • High Commission

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow a portfolio of clients in the commodities trading and investment sector.
  • Identify new business opportunities with commodity exporters, importers, bullion dealers, refineries, or high-value supply chain clients.
  • Present customized airfreight solutions for the movement of valuable and time-sensitive commodities.
  • Prepare competitive proposals and negotiate contracts to close new business.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of the commodity supply chain, including regulatory compliance, documentation, customs, and valuation procedures.
  • Understand and advise clients on best practices in airfreight security, cargo insurance, airport handling, and IATA/ICAO regulations.
  • Coordinate closely with operations and carriers to ensure secure handling and time-critical deliveries.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients in the commodity sector.
  • Act as the primary liaison for all commercial discussions and service delivery expectations.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams in Singapore & South East Asia and abroad to ensure exceptional service standards.
  • Monitor trends and pricing dynamics in the airfreight and commodities markets.
  • Provide regular pipeline, forecast, and market intelligence reports to the management team.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and commodity-focused forums.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Logistics, International Trade, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of sales or account management experience in airfreight, logistics, or supply chain, with a focus on commodities.
  • Deep understanding of the commodities trade landscape (e.g. bullion, precious metal).
  • Strong existing network of clients or contacts in the commodity trading industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
