Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the handling and management of general cargo and project shipments, ensuring full operational control and cost efficiency (commercial aspects)
- Assist in preparing RFQ and tender with competitive pricing and detailed proposals
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, partners, and offices regarding project operations-related matters
- Manage the global shipment of various cargo types, including out-of-gauge and heavy-lift cargo
- Coordinate and negotiate with subcontractors, securing competitive rates from potential partners
- Calculating and monitoring project profits
- Support the sales team with offers and proposals
- Supervise loading and discharging operations at ports, customer sites and jobsites
- Administration and support in daily business activities in global business environment
- Assist local and regional management with reporting and strategic planning
Skills, knowledge and expertise:
- At least 2 years of professional experience with completed training in freight forwarding
- Proven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination and management
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding; experience in ocean freight, air freight, including break bulk
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Cargowise is an advantage
- Highly organized (also under pressure), detail-oriented, and customer-focused
- Exceptional communication skills across functions and cultures
- Able to communicate in English both written and verbal
