Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Drive Profitability: Accountable for the P&L of both manufacturing and sales units, delivering revenue growth and margin expansion.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term business strategies, including market expansion in key regions (e.g., SE Asia).
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Shape commercial strategies, including pricing, distribution channels, and product positioning.
- Manufacturing & Operational Excellence
- Production Oversight: Oversee daily operations of production sites to ensure maximum efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage end-to-end supply chain processes, including inventory control and raw material procurement.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations (e.g., HSE) and quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve production speed.
- Sales & Commercial Leadership
- Revenue Growth: Drive sales targets, lead major commercial negotiations, and manage key strategic customer/partner relationships.
- Sales Team Leadership: Coach and mentor the sales organization to build a high-performance culture and improve conversion rates.
- Market Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, customer needs, and market trends to adapt positioning.
- People & Organization Management
- Talent Development: Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing senior management team across factories and sales offices.
- Culture Building: Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and innovation.
- Governance & Risk Management
- Risk Management: Act as the primary authority on managing operational, financial, and reputational risks.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local and international business laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive, senior commercial experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role (MD, Regional Director) managing both sales and manufacturing/industrial operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Proven success in industrial manufacturing, capital equipment, or B2B technical sectors.
- Leadership Skills: Strong strategic, operational, and financial management capabilities.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Regional Expertise: Experience in driving growth within Southeast Asia or the relevant target market is a strong advantage.
