We specialise in retail and point-of-sale (POS) design, and we’re looking for a Junior Creative Director who brings strong creative direction, hands-on design experience, and a keen eye for motion to elevate brand experiences from shelf to screen.
About the Role
As Junior Creative Director, you’ll act as a driving force across creative campaigns and design initiatives. You’ll lead visual ideation, oversee execution, and ensure creative consistency across digital, print, and motion deliverables. With a background in both graphic and motion graphic design, you’ll work closely with designers, animators, and marketing teams to translate brand goals into compelling retail experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and guide overarching creative direction across branding, retail campaigns, packaging, and POS displays.
- Translate strategic briefs into innovative concepts and visual narratives.
- Oversee the creation of graphics and motion content for digital (social, web, motion) and print (in-store, packaging, display) platforms.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior designers and freelancers to maintain brand and creative quality.
- Provide hands-on design leadership when needed—from artworking to animation storyboards.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, production and client teams to align design intent with commercial and brand objectives.
- Present creative concepts and articulate design thinking to internal teams and clients.
- Keep up with design, retail, and animation trends to keep our work fresh and competitive.
- Creative Leadership: Ability to take ownership of design direction and elevate the creative output of a team.
- Design Excellence: Strong visual sensibility and craft across typography, layout, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Motion Design Proficiency: Capable of conceptualising and producing motion assets (e.g., logo animations, POS digital displays, animated explainers).
- Software Mastery: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) + motion tools (After Effects, Animate, Premiere Pro).
- Multi-Platform Thinking: Comfortable designing across formats—from shelf wobbler to screen takeover.
- Communication: Clear visual and verbal communicator who can pitch, defend, and refine ideas collaboratively.
- Time Management: Skilled in prioritising multiple projects without compromising quality.
- Problem-Solving: Solutions-focused, whether working within tight brand guidelines or creative constraints.
- Storyboarding and animatics for short-form retail content.
- Typography animation and motion branding for POS displays.
- Stop motion animation techniques, including photography and frame-by-frame editing.
- Audio syncing and basic sound design integration.
- Comfort with hybrid media approaches (e.g., mixing live-action, graphics, and animation).
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Visual Communication, or related discipline.
- 2–4 years’ experience in a design or creative studio, ideally with exposure to retail or consumer brands.
- Experience in POSM (Point-of-Sale Materials) production is a strong plus.
- A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing design, motion, and creative thinking.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
