Senior/Platform Support Engineer - Toa Payoh

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Senior/Platform Support Engineer to join our team in maintaining and enhancing business-critical systems and shared platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact systems using modern technologies such as Java, Python, and open-source observability tools, while contributing to the development of cloud-native applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Platform Maintenance & Enhancement
• Ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of issuer/data shared systems through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with solution vendors and internal platform specialists to deliver enhancements and changes into production environments.
• Observability & Monitoring
• Develop and improve in-house observability tools using Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana to support trading and clearing operations.
• Implement monitoring solutions and dashboards to detect anomalies and ensure system health.
• Compliance & System Hygiene
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures.
• Address system vulnerabilities, support audit activities, and ensure platform hygiene through regular patching and evidence collection.
• Operational Support
• Perform application recovery, non-functional testing, and verification activities, including support during off-hours and weekends.
• Investigate and resolve application issues, security vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a reputable institution.
• 5–7 years of experience as a Software Developer or IT System Analyst.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Python
• Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) – deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Linux and Windows OS – application support and maintenance
• Experience with open-source observability tools (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, SQL, PowerShell).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to support production systems during weekends and off-hours.
• A mindset focused on operational excellence and production reliability.
