We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Operations Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our used laptop and mobile business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing buyback and trade-in prices, setting monthly pricing strategies, building a robust sales pipeline, planning for wholesale sales both locally and internationally, and managing our refurbishment warehouse.

This role is pivotal in driving our sustainability initiatives and ensuring our operations align with our commitment to environmental stewardship.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Buyback Program Operations
  • Conduct market research to analyze current buyback and trade-in prices.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies on a monthly basis to stay competitive and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust pricing models accordingly.
  • Take accountability for setting and maintaining competitive buyback prices to ensure profitability.
  • Collaborate with the retail partners to meet and exceed sales targets.
  1. Sales Pipeline Development
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Develop strategies for wholesale sales, targeting both local and international markets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Take accountability for sales performance and profitability, ensuring targets are met.
  1. Sales and Marketing
  • Open up new sales and marketing channels to expand our market reach.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to promote our products and services.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
  1. Warehouse Management
  • Oversee the refurbishment warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow and quality control.
  • Implement best practices for inventory management, product refurbishment, and order fulfillment.
  • Apply 5S principles to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure agility in processes to respond quickly to changing market demands and operational needs.
  • Manage warehouse staff, provide training and support as needed.
  1. Strategic Planning
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive growth and efficiency.
  • Analyze business performance data and generate reports for senior management.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  1. Sustainability Initiatives
  • Lead efforts to enhance the sustainability of our operations, focusing on reducing waste and promoting the reuse of electronic devices.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Promote awareness of our sustainability efforts both internally and externally.
  1. Compliance and SOP Development
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in compliance with ISO9001 and ISO27001 standards.
  • Ensure all operational processes adhere to quality management and information security standards.
  1. Team Leadership
  • Lead and manage a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the electronics or refurbishment industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and set pricing strategies.
  • Experience in sales pipeline development and wholesale sales.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • Familiar with ISO9001 and ISO27001 standards.
  • Experience with 5S methodology and agile process management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Work Details
  • Work Week: Monday - Friday
  • Work Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
