IT Helpdesk / Support Engineer (Manufacturing Environment)

Work Day : Monday to Friday (3pm – 11pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day IT helpdesk support to end users, including on-site support during shift hours and occasional remote assistance
  • Monitor and manage the internal ticketing system, supporting issues related to SFC, WMS, and other manufacturing systems in accordance with SOPs
  • Extract and analyze system transaction data using basic SQL queries
  • Monitor network and server performance to ensure smooth operations for production and testing environments; escalate critical issues promptly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related IT issues, including label printing (e.g., Zebra, Sharp printers)
  • Perform hardware and software troubleshooting to resolve system and application faults efficiently
  • Conduct internal IT audits and user training to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including system and account setup/removal
  • Manage IT assets, including procurement documentation, installation, configuration, license renewal, and inventory tracking
  • Maintain and continuously update internal knowledge base articles; collaborate with System Analysts/Development teams on recurring issues and root cause analysis
  • Monitor and clear real-time system reporting backlogs in accordance with established SOPs

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in IT helpdesk or end-user support, with basic SQL knowledge
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP) and Windows (Wintel) system administration
  • Exposure to manufacturing systems (e.g., MES, WMS) is an advantage
  • Able to communicate in Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
