In this role as a Senior Treaty Underwriter, you will service clients and brokers across the Southeast Asia region, focusing on Property & Casualty lines. You will play a key role in the business, responsible for acquiring, managing and retaining customers.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background and experience in pricing accounts according to underwriting guidelines. You will also be expected to gather market data for assigned products and markets, identify new opportunities and mentor junior underwriters.
To succeed in this position, you should be able to establish growth and profitability targets and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with international clients to secure leads and close deals.
** Business travels to Southeast Asia region required

skills & experience required- 10+ years of experience in Treaty underwriting
- Ideally with exposure and experience in Southeast Asia region, South Korea and Taiwan
- Ability to underwrite large and complex reinsurance treaties
- Strong knowledge of reinsurance treaty wordings, pricing and rating methodology, modeling and valuation tools
- Strong negotiation skills and highly analytical
