Investment Analyst (Greater China Equities)

About Us We are a Singapore-based long/short hedge fund with astrong track record in Japanese equities, now actively expanding our exposure across Asia. We operate on a fast-paced Japan working calendar and pride ourselves on deep, fundamental bottom-up research.
The Role We are looking for an Investment Analyst to drive our coverage of the Greater China market, specifically focusing on China A-shares and Hong Kong equities. This is a high-impact role with directr eporting lines to the CIO. We are open to candidates currently on the sell-side or buy-side (including Equity Research or Investment Banking) who are hungry to generate actionable investment ideas.
What You Will Do:
- Fundamental Research: Conduct rigorous, bottom-up analysis on listed companies across the China A-share and Hong Kong markets.
- Financial Modelling: Build and maintain detailed financial models, evaluating company performance, valuations, and industry macro drivers.
- Idea Generation: Formulate high-conviction, differentiated investment ideas and pitch them directly to the investment team.
- Corporate Access: Engage directly with company management teams, track regulatory shifts in Mainland China, and extract actionable insights.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Buy-side/Sell-side Equity Research or Investment Banking (IBD).
- Language Requirement (Mandarin): Native-level proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is strictly required. The analyst must independently analyse primary statutory filings from the Shanghai/Shenzhen exchanges, read local Chinese broker reports, and conduct highly technical, nuanced interviews with mainland Chinese management teams.
- Language Requirement (Japanese): Business-level proficiency in Japanese is a strong advantage to support cross-border analysis and collaborate with our Japan-focused desk.
- Skills: Strong financial modelling abilities, deep intellectual curiosity, and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
