Student Care Teacher

Job Summary

You will supervise and support students to complete their homework and engage in educational activities, maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, provide care and welfare support for students, and assist in planning and facilitating programmes with the Centre Manager.

• Supervise students to complete all daily homework assigned by the school before they leave the centre.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, orderliness, and discipline to create a conducive learning environment.
• Prepare and create teaching aids, materials, charts, and worksheets to support lesson delivery.
• Decorate classroom walls with displays that reflect relevant themes, subjects, or events.
• Update and maintain the student reward system to encourage positive behaviour.
• Guide students using positive management strategies to keep them constructively engaged in developmentally and educationally appropriate activities.
• Escort students safely from nearby schools and ensure their safety at all times while in care.
• Provide care for students including administering medication, supervising meals, and attending to other needs.
• Communicate and collaborate closely with parents and/or the Centre Manager to support each child’s development.
• Conduct home visits when necessary, prepare reports, and submit findings to the Centre Manager.
• Collaborate with the Centre Manager to improve teaching resources and materials.
• Assist in planning and facilitating school holiday programmes and special events such as Children’s Day, National Day, Teacher’s Day, and Christmas Day etc.
• Participate actively in staff meetings and staff-sharing sessions to contribute to team development.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Centre Manager to support centre operations.
• - Working hours:
• Full-Time: 10am to 7pm , (Mon - Fri), 40hrs per week, 5-day work week
