Interior Designer

Employment Type: Full-Time, once or twice a week showroom duty

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing interior design projects that align with client needs and company standards. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong project management skills, and the ability to create aesthetically appealing, functional spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and develop innovative design solutions based on client requirements.
• Create detailed design proposals, including mood boards, sketches, and perspective drawings
• Prepare and present project plans, including space planning, color schemes, material selection, and furnishings.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and site supervision to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Stay updated with current interior design trends, materials, and industry regulations.
• Prepare documentation for project approvals, permits, and compliance with Singapore’s building regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 12 months of experience in interior design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and creative work.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in any design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of space planning, materials, lighting, and furniture design.
• Knowledge of Singapore’s building codes and renovation guidelines (e.g., HDB, BCA, URA).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts to clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.

Preferred Attributes:

• Passionate about interior design and keeping up with the latest trends.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with contractors and vendors.
• Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for liaising with Chinese-speaking clients and contractors.
