Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements, and provide cost advice during planning stages.
- Develop, monitor, and control project budgets throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Support tendering activities, including preparation, evaluation of bids, and contract negotiation.
- Implement cost control measures and monitor project expenditures to prevent overruns.
- Identify and support value engineering opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Perform quantity take-off for materials, labour, and equipment requirements.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies in coordination with project teams.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide cost updates and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, regulations, and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Professional accreditation is an advantage.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in cost estimation tools and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and numerical skills.
