Import & Export Manager / Logistics (Biopharma)

Location : Tuas Biomedical Park with company transport provided islandwide

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for making, sorting, checking and archiving of import and export documents. Maintain close communication with international freight forwarder to assist the customs broker to obtain the information required for customs clearance
• Be Responsible for applying for import & export permit for certified biomaterials
• Book space with the freight forwarder base on export plan, and organize and arrange shipment matters
• Ensuring proper regulatory compliance for all international transactions
• Familiar with Singapore import and export related policies, especially biomaterials. Timely understand and update policies and regulations related to import and export, timely identify business impact points through analysis and interpretation and guide internal and external customers to improve business capacity
• Be responsible for the filing and registration of relevant enterprises to ensure the normal implementation of import and export business. Cooperate with export audit and inspection from internal and external
• Coordinate the work between Import and Export Department and upstream and downstream departments (Procurement Department, Warehouse Management Department, etc.) to ensure the smooth and orderly supply chain
• Periodically assess the customs broker/carrier and establish a good cooperation relationship
• Monthly import and export data statistics and analysis, effective cost control including freight, logistics expense
• Continuously optimize the import and export process within the department and establish a rigorous and compliant import and export system
• Timely complete other relevant work assigned by superior

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or above, major in International Trade, Supply Chain / Business related etc.
• More than 5 years relevant working experience within pharmaceutical / medical devices sector
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite and using of at least one ERP system
