Job Purpose:
- Oversees the daily warehouse operations from the aspect of inbound, outbound, inventory as well as the quality in the assigned functional section to ensure customer expectation KPIs is meet.
- Prioritize functional staff deployment to meet overall department goals and objectives.
Main areas of focus and accountability of the role:
- Lead and direct staff in daily activities to ensure smooth and efficient running of overall operations
- Planning on staff load, equipment, storage and daily tasks to ensure adequate resources are consistently available to meet customer’s requirements
- Plan and manage the P&L for the respective account to ensure on time deliveries
- Set strategies and objectives to ensure effective inventory management to achieve consistent levels of inventory accuracy that meets KPI targets
- Work closely with the customer’s team to plan logistics activities, including receipt, picking, and sequencing which is required to support daily targets and to ensure that KPI targets are consistently met
- Lead review of monthly performance and prepare management reports for review with customer with responsibility for any follow up actions
- Cost management, ensure timely and accurate billings are submitted monthly and preparation of annual operating budget
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customer’s stakeholders at all levels
- Build, motivate and coach operational team to ensure overall business objectives are met
- Develop and maintain updated SOP that is in conformance with AS9120 quality standards
- Implement work improvement initiatives and programs such as 5S, Kaizens, LEAN and SCA program with the goal of achieving CEVA standards of Operational Excellence
- Urgent ad-hoc delivery to shop
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Preferably a Diploma holder
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience and experience in managing and leading operations team
- Hands on experience in SAP
- Good knowledge in MS Office
- Able to handle and resolve operations issue
- Possess with valid forklift license
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
- Experience with customer dealing at all levels
- Good planning, communication and people skills
