Senior / IT System Engineer (Information Technology)

Job Description:

• Provide first and second-level support for end users IT incidents and service requests in a hybrid environment.
• Manage user and email accounts creation and access control.
• Administer, support, and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint,

• Perform workstation installation/cloning, configuration, replacement, maintenance and upgrade of the IT infrastructure (Hardware and Software) including remote troubleshooting.
• Proactive monitoring, resolving and optimising overall IT system performance in hybrid environments (covering on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, networks, applications, telephony).
• Perform patch management, routine system checks, basic network troubleshooting and system monitoring to ensure system stability and security patches are up to date. (e.g. workstation, server, firewalls, network switches, wireless access point, storage, etc).
• Perform proper system backup and recovery, manage data storage, prepare for contingency measures and disaster recovery plan.
• Provide support for projector, audio-visual/VC equipment and IOT devices.
• Perform periodic housekeeping of systems and infrastructure for long term sustainability and optimal performance including periodic maintenance patches of IT hardware (e.g., firewalls, network switches, wireless access point, storage, etc).
• Timely servicing of remote offices IT system, users’ request or resolution to maximise their productivity and performance.
• Allocating appropriate IT resources and access coverage to the staff (onboarding) as well as deactivating and timely retrieval of IT resources for (offboarding)staff.
• Assist with the procurement and lifecycle management of IT assets, ensuring all hardware, software licenses, and contracts are accurately documented, tracked, maintain IT asset inventory, and disposed of properly.
• Provide user training/briefing/IT Orientation users to improve overall basic IT competency, cybersecurity and literacy skills.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives, regulatory compliance efforts, facilities management, and assist in both internal and external audit processes.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the manager.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server Microsoft SQL, networking solutions.
• Strong knowledge Azure Active Directory, identity and access management, and security controls such as Conditional Access and MFA.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 (O365, D365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune & Purview will be advantageous.
• Experience Firewall, DLP, patch management and Anti-virus software.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft subscription application, basic networking.
• Working knowledge of IT & Security, IT Operations, maintenance & support.
• Perform all tasks in a professional and ethical manner.
• Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• Experience in the Healthcare or Financial Services is an added advantage.
